Great Jones: Family Style Cookware

High quality cookware has that effect of making one feel very grown up (even if you are a well-established grown up already!) This Great Jones Family Style set is both functional and beautiful.

The set includes an enameled cast iron (the Dutchess), fully clad stainless (Deep Cut, Saucy, Big Deal), and ceramic nonstick (Small Fry). And to top it off (no pun intended): there are two lids for the four pieces to save space. Purchase a set and you save $50 too. Add that extra money back into ingredients for the sumptuous meal these will create.

About Great Jones:

Sierra Tishgart and Maddy Moelis founded Great Jones, as the two say, “because we believe in the power and pleasure of making food with your own hands, even if you’re just frying an egg.”

And this simple belief and a passion for food turned them into entrepreneurs. The duo first met at summer camp 20 years ago. As adults Sierra worked as a food editor at New York Magazine and won a James Beard Award for her writing. She also hosted a show for CBS This Morning interviewing chefs. Maddy worked at startups including Warby Parker and Zola.

While we love the cookware we also adore the brand name. The name is a nod to Judith Jones, a cookbook author and editor who championed and published the work of Julia Child, Edna Lewis, James Beard, and many others. The name is also homage to the pair’s home (and ours) of New York City.
